Lost Wax Cast Solid 925 Sterling Silver Crab Claw from Sachuest Beach on a Sterling Silver Diamond Cut Bead Chain Necklace 16"-24"

I found this shell on a cold winter day when the beach was empty except for me and my friend and this plastic orange dump-truck of summer left behind. We scurried around on the beach just checking for a tide line and to see if there was anything good before we couldn't take the cold any longer. I found this full natural rounded whole entire crab claw which you see here.

Technically this was found at Sachuest Beach, Newport, Rhode Island, USA.

The claw measures, 1" x .66" and I usually use a 16 Gauge 5-6mm Sterling silver link to secure it to the chain.

Vulcanization or vulcanisation is a chemical process for converting natural rubber or related polymers into more durable materials. Although the curing of rubber has been carried out since prehistoric times, the modern process of vulcanization, named after Vulcan, the Roman god of fire, was not developed until the 19th century, mainly by Charles Goodyear. Today, a vast array of products are made with vulcanized rubber, including tires, shoe soles, hoses, and conveyor belts.

I chose to use this form of molding over the cold mold because of the way it's so detailed. I then chose to duplicate using the lost wax casting method.

After the crab claw was molded, it was then duplicated by utilizing lost-wax casting process. This is a method of metal casting in which a molten metal is poured into a mold that has been created by means of a wax model.

I'll get it to you the way you want it finished as well, please choose below: antiqued Black, antiqued and then buffed to expose the highlights, and then shiny sterling silver.

Shipping from United States

I am able to ship most items Monday through Friday and if things are busy, Saturday also. Please check your item for how long it's expected to take.

I usually ship USPS 1st Class within the United States and globally I use First Class International. Certain items ship priority or flat rate and for those, it will be indicated within the listing.

All of my packages have tracking and I am willing to add services as long as you pay for them. Convo me for anything you need.

Items can be returned if buyer is not happy for any reason within 7 days after receiving item. Buyer to pay return shipping.

In the case of breakage or a lost item, I would choose something as close to possible to what it is you lost or got broken and I will replace the missing item with something of similar to higher value.

Most times, I do need the broken earring to make it a match or the necklace to attach a new clasp. In this case, buyer pays all shipping and small fee for replacement of the parts not to exceed their value.

If something just up's and breaks immediately or due to no fault of your own, I am very happy to correct the situation and I will replace the missing item with something of similar to higher value. I would choose something as close to possible to what it is you lost or got broken. I would rather have my customers pay a couple of dollars to get a handmade pair of earring repaired by me than get upset. I always take care of my customers...

Trade friendly, local pickup if possible.

I am wholesale interested. Wholesale orders would have to be lost wax castings rather than OOAK sea glass creations. With that being said, I can give better pricing if you decide to buy something in a bulk or have me make something that turns out to be a large order.
